Götter gehören zum kulturellen Erbe der Menschheit. Weltweit werden in verschiedenen Kulturen und Gesellschaften weit über 300 verschiedene Götter verehrt.

Unsere Götter wurden vom Menschen erschaffen. Wenn Kirchen immer wieder versuchen anderes zu behaupten, dann begeben sie sich damit auf sehr dünnes Eis. Es gibt keine Religion auf dieser Welt, die uns einen Beweis dafür vorlegen könnte, dass es Götter auch ohne zutun des Menschen geben könnte. Die Existenz unserer Götter ist nur durch den menschlichen Glauben möglich.

Es ist eines der Wunder der Natur, dass Menschen denken können, auch wenn es keinen Wissenschaftler gibt, der erklären könnte, wie Denken überhaupt zustande kommt. Es liegt in der Natur des denkenden Menschen, sich Fragen zu stellen, seine Umwelt zu erkunden und zu forschen. So stoßen wir immer wieder auch auf Fragen, auf die die Wissenschaft keine Antwort hat. Was geschieht mit unseren Gedanken, unserem Geist nach dem Tod? Wo ist das Ende unseres Universums? Wann hat alles begonnen? Was war vor dem Urknall? Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Gut und Böse?

Da es für Menschen schwer auszuhalten ist, mit so vielen unbeantworteten Fragen zu leben, erschufen sie sich die Götter und den Glauben an sie, um mit einem geschlossenen Weltbild ihren Alltag besser bewältigen zu können.

Monotheistische Religionen, wie das Christentum, das Judentum oder der Islam gehen davon aus, dass es nur einen Gott geben kann. Sie unterscheiden zwischen Menschen, die an ihren Gott glauben und denen, die an andere Götter oder gar nicht glauben. Christen bezeichnen solche Menschen abfällig als „Heiden“, Muslime nennen Gläubige, die an andere Götter glauben „Ungläubige“. Diese Intoleranz monotheistischer Religionen gegenüber Andersdenkenden führt seit ihrem Bestehen immer wieder zu Vertreibung, Gewalt und Krieg.

4| Die eigene Bestimmung

Die eigene Bestimmung zu finden ist eine der Aufgaben, die jeder Mensch mit seinem Dasein auf der Welt lösen muss. Der atheistische Glaube kann dabei genauso hilfreich sein wie der monotheistische, der pantheistische oder der polytheistische Glaube. Die Funktion des Glaubens ist dabei vor allem, die jeweils gefundene Bestimmung in einer vollständigen Welt erleben zu können. Einer Welt, in der auch die vielen Wunder, die uns umgeben, Sinn machen.

Die Entscheidung darüber, was gut und böse ist, sollte man aber in der heutigen, aufgeklärten Zeit nicht den Göttern überlassen, sondern den gesellschaflich ausgehandelten Maßstäben, die sehr viel angemessener sind, als die alten biblischen Texte und ihre Auslegungen.

Dass Religionen, insbesondere monotheistische Religionen wie das Christentum oder der Islam, häufig falsche moralische Vorstellungen verbreiten, sieht man aktuell wieder bei den Orthodoxen Christen in Russland. Ihr kirchliches Oberhaupt fordert junge Männer auf, in den Krieg gegen die Ukraine zu ziehen.

5| The Eternal and God

There is no evidence. I believe. But in fact there is some logical thinking behind that. Scientifically the best theory of our universe is the Big Bang Theory. But you always can ask what is behind the Big Bang. Some people say a creating God, some say nothing. Both of these fictions
can not close the gap in a holistic world view. Because you always can ask who created this God, how did he come to existence?

What is nothing? „Nothing“ is just a men made concept which does not have any reality. The imagination of an eternal universe seems much more plausible. And also all the miracles in our daily life seem to point into the direction of eternity. For example the space between any two numbers is always infinite. Same with the size of the smallest thing on earth. The Planck-Units show us how small it could be theoretically. The Planck lenght is far beyond direct experimental accessibility. And nobody knows what could lie behind it.

So I believe in nature and its eternity. For me this nature is God. There is no reason to believe this God is somwhere behind our universe and no reason this God could send any words or laws to us. It is just us developing, playing and dancing in the eternal universe.

6| Objektivität, Wissenschaft, Gott

Deine Definition von „Objektivität“ ist in Wissenschaft und Philosophie zu Recht umstritten. Genau genommen, ist es gar nicht möglich, als Mensch Behauptungen aufzustellen, die nicht von Gefühlen oder Meinungen beeinflusst werden. Jede menschliche Erkenntnis ist Abhängig vom Vorwissen, von Vorerfahrungen, von der Perspektive und ist nie frei von Emotionen.

Ein Beobachter erkennt in einem vor ihm liegenden Objekt einen Kreis. Ein anderer Beobachter erkennt in dem Objekt ein Rechteck. Beide Beobachter beschreiben die Fakten und haben „objektiv“ recht, weil es sich bei dem Objekt um einen liegenden Zylinder handelt, der aus der einen Perspektive aussieht wie ein Kreis und aus der anderen Perspektive wie ein Rechteck.

Es gibt keine absolute Objektivität. Es gibt keine absoluten Fakten. Jeder Fakt lässt sich aus verschiedenen Perspektiven beschreiben. Isaac Newton würde sich nicht anmaßen, dass seine Erklärung der Gravitation für immer gelten würde. Albert Einstein hat tatsächlich gezeigt, dass sein neues Modell der Gravitation, die Beobachtungen in unserer Wirklichkeit sehr viel besser beschreibt. Heute sind es Wissenschaftler der Quantenphysik, die gute Gründe dafür haben, dass es ein plausibleres Modell zur Erklärung der Gravitation geben muss als die Modelle von Newton oder Einstein.

Ich habe eine wissenschaftliche Denkweise und behandle „Fakten“ als die jeweils besten Modelle, die uns wissenschaftlich zur Verfügung stehen, um ein Phänomen zu erklären.

Gott behandle ich in diesem Sinne nicht als Fakt sondern als eine Fiktion, die mir plausibler erscheint als die Annahme, dass es nichts gibt, das unser Universum am Leben hält.

Ich glaube an Gott, weil die Kraft, die Komplexität und die Unendlichkeit unserer Welt mich so tief beeindruckt, dass ich das Bedürfnis habe, dieser übermenschlichen Genialität einen Namen zu geben: Gott.

Atheism is just as questionable as monotheism. It is human nature to search and to create gods. The history of mankind has proven this many times. The fiction of a god is much more satisfying than to reduce the world to the minimal part of the scientifically verifiable.

It turns out that roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. Only for the remaining 5% of our universe science finds explanations.

Science is a wonderful tool to drive progress in all areas of our lives. However, scientists also know their limitations. That is why there are so many among them who believe in a non-personal God. I prefer to stay with Albert Einstein and the humanists.

8| Gott als pantheistische Fiktion

Gott ist eine Fiktion. Deshalb glauben wir an Gott. Wenn es Beweise gäbe, hätten wir Argumente, und es gäbe überhaupt keinen Grund mehr zu glauben. Denn dann würden wir es wissen. Der Glaube an Gott ist im Grunde unsere Ehrfurcht vor all dem, was wir nicht wissen. Dafür braucht es keinen personalisierten Gott, wie es Juden, Christen und Muslime sich vorstellen. Es ist auch eine schlechte Idee, zu glauben, dass eine Fiktion uns Moralvorstellungen übermitteln könnte. Das können Menschen mt ihren humanistischen Ideen sehr viel besser. Gott ist die beeindruckende Ewigkeit und Unendlichkeit, die uns alltäglich umgibt. Es gibt kein Argument, dass eine Fiktion widerlegen kann.

9| Spinozas Gott statt Atheismus

Es ist genau diese Leere, die atheistische Ansichten so unattraktiv für Suchende macht.

Die Vorstellung eines Gottes hilft, dem Staunen über die Unendlichkeit unserer Welt einen Ausdruck zu geben. Solche Vorstellungen haben Menschen zu allen Zeiten, in allen Epochen und allen Ländern dieser Welt entwickelt. Solche Vorstellungen und der Austausch darüber geben unserem Leben eine besondere Qualität.

Die Idee des Christentums oder anderer monotheistischer Religionen zerstört allerdings diese Qualität. Solche Religionen schüren Angst und erwecken den falschen Eindruck als könnte ein Gott uns Menschen Regeln auferlegen, denen wir folgen müssten. Das ist unmenschlich und hat zu vielen Konflikten und Kriegen geführt.

Deshalb glaube ich, wie Albert Einstein, an den Gott von Spinoza. Alle Natur ist Gott.
